There’s nothing we love more than hearing about newest world cruise ship of 2020. It makes us excited to know what’s new about them. Although the pandemic delayed some of the ships target launch date, you can still expect them to enter the waters sooner or later next year.
This is the first of three ships being made by the Virgin Voyages company. It is said that this ship will prioritize passenger wellness, fun, and relaxation. It will feature services such as spa, salon, fitness center, and nightclub. Moreover, they’re carefully positioned so that passengers can detox and “retox” simultaneously. Lastly, the ship will offer 4-5-day cruises to the Caribbean from Miami.
Spirit Of Adventure
This 55,900-ton cruise ship is the second new-build from Saga Cruises company. It is the sister ship of Spirit of Discovery. With just 540 cabins, it’s designed for lone travelers. Nevertheless, it can carry up to 999 passengers. The ship’s accommodation also features an Asian restaurant, with a couple of bars. Lastly, it includes a library, spa, saunas, among others.
This amazing new ship is Celebrity Edge’s sister vessel. However, this cruise ship has newer features than its predecessor, like the Magic Carpet, an improved restaurant area, and blended cabin, among others. In addition to that, this colossal ship will also include an Iconic Suite and a two-level suite.
P&O Cruises Iona
P&O Cruises Iona is the biggest cruise ship ever build for UK commercial purposes. The ship is also the first of its kind to run on liquefied petroleum gas, making it the first eco-friendly in the company’s history. Lastly, the ship’s accommodation includes specialty restaurants, four pools, and 16 whirlpools.
World Cruise Ship Highlight: Mardi Gras
This passenger ship is the first of two vessels by Carnival Cruises. Mardi Gras will be able to carry at least 6,600 passengers on board at full capacity. The ship will feature the first roller coaster at sea (BOLT). Moreover, it will be powered by liquefied natural gas. Due to the pandemic, its launch will be delayed until 2021.
Odyssey Of The Seas
Odyssey of the Seas is expected to debut in April 2021 because of the pandemic. However, it is almost ready. Like its Quantum Class fleet mates, the ship is expected to feature interesting things, such as bumper cars, skydiving simulator, among others. It’s also likely to feature virtual balconies for maximum entertainment.
This cruise ship is expected to launch by early 2021. It has 2,444 cabins – enough for nearly 6,300 passengers at full capacity. Entertainment on board is an utmost priority, that’s why they included a Cirque du Soleil show. To add more, the ship is likely to contain a long indoor promenade with a handful of bars, restaurants, and shops. The promenade is covered by real-time LCD to add a “digital sky” effect.
Valiant is the second of three vessels to debut for Virgin Voyages brand. Although not much is known about the ship yet, it is said that this vessel will be restricted to 18 years and older, making it an adult-only ship. it will offer Mediterranean itineraries, plus a Friday night in Ibiza.
AIDAcosma is the second ship build in a brand-new class to be yet announced. It is said that the ship can carry up to 6,000 passengers at full capacity. Moreover, it will also be an eco-friendly ship since it will run using an LNG variety of fuel. Lastly, the ship is expected to launch by spring 2021.
